PAYMENT POLICY
Payment is due at the time of services. We accept cash, check, credit cards & apple pay. Authorized insurance referrals allow us to process claims through your insurance but do not always guarantee payment. Speechcom is a service provider and by providing an evaluation or treatment, we do not imply any reimbursement from your insurance company.

INSURANCE POLICY
Some private insurance companies provide benefits for speech therapy evaluations and ongoing treatment, while others do not.

We accept insurance from Healthcare Partners, Blueshield CA and Kaiser Permanente. It is your responsibility to determine what your insurance company will cover and whether you must receive their approval before initiating and continuing services. It is also your responsibility to fill out paperwork, pursue reimbursement, resolve claims issues, and appeal denials.

We will provide you with an invoice that you can submit to your insurance company for an out-of-network reimbursement if applicable. We include appropriate CPT procedure and diagnostic codes will clearly be indicated on the invoice.

We will gladly assist you and your insurance company by providing copies of evaluations, reports, progress notes, etc.

FEES
Please contact us for specific information regarding individual fees. Our therapy fees are based on an hourly rate and includes time spent in direct therapy with the child and consultation with caregivers.

CANCELLATION POLICY
We require 24-hour notice for cancellation of scheduled appointments. Missed appointments with less than 24 hours notice will be subject to a cancellation fee of $30. Completed credit card authorization forms are required to be kept on file and charges will be made on the day of any missed appointment. There is no cancellation fee for appointments cancelled with at least 24-hour notice. Cancelled or missed sessions that result from a therapist’s absence do not incur cancellation fees.

Please call us at (424) 275-9968 as soon as you are aware that an appointment needs to be cancelled – we will work to reschedule if possible.

SICK POLICY
At Speechcom, we are committed to serving and protecting our clients and their families as well as our therapists and staff. We ask that you follow our Sick Policy below and cancel your (or your child’s) session if you exhibit any of the symptoms below within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment time:

  • Fever
  • Diarrhea
  • Vomiting
  • Rash
  • Eye Infection
  • Hacking or Persistent Cough
  • Stuffy or Runny Nose with Yellow or Green Phlegm

If any members of your household are experiencing a highly contagious sickness or condition like Pink Eye, Strep Throat, Head Lice, Impetigo or Hand-Foot-Mouth Disease, then the session should be cancelled.

Speechcom reserves the right to use their discretion to cancel a session at any point should the child or client exhibit symptoms of illness. We appreciate our families helping us to keep our clinic healthy.
